Akira Back At Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park: Review


One of newest destination restaurants in Bangkok, adjacent to BTS Phrom Phong Station. The first Akira Back restaurant in Thailand opened the door to Bangkok foodies  in early 2018. Founded by Akira Back, the award-winning Korean-born, American-raised chef redefines Asian cuisine with a new experience.

A dramatic hidden on 37th floor that takes diners on a culinary and sensory journey. The restaurant led by Chef: Chef Yoon , Chef William, Chef Anang and their service team promised to make your night with “WOW” experience.

Using only high-quality ingredients, the chefs creates contemporary, innovative dishes that reflect Akira Back’s cultural heritage and personal journey. This modern style of gastronomy is inventive, exciting and vibrant, blending Japanese and Korean elements with other international influences.

Akira Back is, in fact, four different venues in one, comprising a main dining area, sushi bar, omakase bar and four private dining rooms with spectacular views across the Bangkok skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows. Akira Back capacity around 100 seats with 4 private rooms. Its a perfect restaurant for catch up with friends after work or company private dinner.

Several areas are reminiscent of Akira Back’s famed Michelin-starred restaurant in Seoul. Guests can choose from an à la carte selection or a combo set comprising sushi and sashimi. Signature dishes that reflect Akira Back’s distinctive “East meets West” style.

Tuna/Eringi Pizza  Umami Aioli, Micro Shiso served with fresh white Truffle from France.

Baked Crab Hand Roll – Alasakan King Crab, kochujang Togarashi Dynamite Sauce, Tobiko, crispy, spicy, soy wrap

Una-Q – Unagi Kabayashi, seared foie gras, balsamic soy eel fish.
