Baby Bar Bangkok Review

Inside the bold Craftsman Bangkok Hotel, who would have thought a dainty bar could perk up the atmosphere so perfectly? With the right level of pinkiness and meticulous selections of furniture and other decoration, a masculine man can undoubtedly enjoy it here.

Despite being named as a “bar”, this place comes with a multitude of delectableness from day to night – breakfasts and bubble teas in daylight, and mouth-watering dishes and drinks as the sun goes down. Trying some foods here is not a recommendation, but a must.

THE DISHES

Even though the menu does not come in many pages, but its variety is sufficient to stun you with different kind of tastiness.

For appetisers, Grilled Mozzarella (THB 195), served on a hot pan, is a full-flavoured paradise for cheese lovers.

Truffle Chicken Wing (THB 165) is no ordinary a plate of crispy wings, but you can subtly sense truffle in every bite, and the dipping is the bomb!

Surprising is one-of-a-kind Larb Paté (THB 220), an indulging combination of the French-style smooth paste and Thai-style sour and spicy flavours, served with olive sourdough.

Zaap Oyster (THB 90) answers well to seafood connoisseur’s needs.

Here comes the time for main dishes. This may sound simple, but Fluffly Kraprao Omlette (THB 165) is no omnipresent “Pad Kraprao with Omlette” – containing, chewy riceberry, together with literally fluffy omlette and spicy “Kraprao” minced pork, when tasting them all together, it satisfies the tongue so well.

Jarret Beef Green Curry with Roti (THB 325) brings the roti-and-curry experience to the next level thanks to the tender beef inside the curry.

THE DRINKS

Not-to-be-missed nevertheless are the signature shooters with its witness-worthy glittering look, playing with vibrant layers of colours. Daydreaming (THB 300) presents itself with dreamy colours with a bit of sheen, and it tastes as lovely as candies.

Baby Bloom (THB 300) is elaborately crafted just like a painting, and topped with Absinthe before putting it on fire.

For cocktails, most of the drinks here are indeed girly, except for Nori (THB 260), a combination of whiskey and Campari to be sipped with salted seaweed, and turns out to be amazing.

Fruity are Baby Shower (THB 250) and Grumpy Daddy (THB 260) to remind you of summer and tropical wind.

For Not So Innocent (THB 250), its name derives from a pickled cherry soaked with liquor, which is to be enjoyed along with the glass of gin and Jägermeister.

Alluringly creamy is Mama Mellow (THB 240), poured in the glass rimmed with chocolate and peanut, and this is really the “wow” one!

GUEST’S CHOICE

Bringing our guest, Mr. Kenyashiro, to this cute place, he really is happy with the foods and the drinks. His pick, doubtlessly, would be Nori, thanks to its bitterness, uniqueness, and playfulness.

GETTING THERE

The nearest BTS is Ari station, and we would recommend taking a taxi or a motorcycle to get here instead of walking. Parking lot available.
