Heshan Peiris, New Executive Chef- Banyan Tree Bangkok


Travelling around the world and experiencing different cooking styles, Chef Peiris focuses on bringing joy to his guests through food. He believes in bringing traditional food to new dimensions, modernizing the presentation while valuing original ingredients and keeping is the essence of each dish. His favourite cuisines are French, Vietnamese and Thai.

Chef Peiris was raised by culinary expert parents in Melbourne, Australia. His culinary career started when he was an apprentice at Melbourne Racing Club whilst pursuing a degree in culinary arts at William Angliss Institute. Over the last 16 years he has lived and worked internationally with Hilton hotels in Melbourne, Sydney and Seychelles. Prior to joining Banyan Tree Bangkok, Chef Peiris worked in Laguna Lang Co in Vietnam.
