Huai Nam Dang Nation Park


The 180-square-kilometer national park in Mae Taeng district, blessed with mountainous terrains and verdant forest, is the favorite destination among cool-weather and photography lovers during the winter time. They rise to the top of Huai Nam Dang Viewpoint at Doi Kiew Lom to overlook a stunning scene when the peak of Doi Chiang Dao emerges from the sea of fog in the morningg hours. Nearby attractions include Pong Nam Ron Tha Pai (hot spring) and Namtok Mae Yen (waterfall), all located in Mae Hong Son. Camping is allowed but visitors must bring their own camping equipments and food. Getting there: Drive along Mae Malai-Pai Road to between Km. 65-66, and then take a 6-kilometre access road to the park office. For a more adventurous experience, take a 4×4 vehicle for a more 20km to Doi Chang Viewpoint for scenic views of natural mountain ranges.
