A chairman of Smart Sport Promotion and Bike Clinic, he is a former race car champion and King’s Cup golfer. Thanong Leeissaranukul, Managing Director The Sittipol 1919 Co., Ltd., revealed that total sales of the company’s products namely IRC motorcycle tires, Stanley automotive lightings and bulbs, D.I.D chain and sprocket sets, Denso spark plugs, Elf lubricants and Bando belts in 2010 have reached 5.057 billion baht, or 21% growth from 1.7 billion baht in 2009, adding that the growth in automotive parts market this year should not be less than 20% due to the fact that the production capacity is still unable to meet the demands.

“The Sittipol Group has retained no.1 in the domestic replacement equipment market. In addition, the increasing costs of raw materials such as rubber and petroleum products have caused us to raise our prices, although this did not affect our sales that much partly because consumers tend to make purchase basing on product quality rather than prices,” said Thanong.

The product that most contribute to the company’s sales was IRC motorcycle tires, of which the supplies are not enough to meet the demands. The products with most outstanding growth are Bando belts and Denso sparkling plugs with sales growth of 100% and 25% respectively.

About the marketing and sales strategies for this year, the Sittipol 1919 will be focusing on motorcycle market with Elf lubricants as key product, which the company targets at 50% sales growth. For the long-term roadmap, the company will be emphasizing on green products which are eco-friendly in all manufacturing process; for example, the packaging must be disposable and not causing environmental problems.
