Pha Ngan


Pha Ngan Island is a world-famous one; especially Rin Beach where the well-known full moon party has been taken place in every full moon night. However, tourists visit there all year long, specifically in the summer.

Pha Ngan Island is the area of Suratthani Province and is approximately 100 kilometer from the heart of the mentioned province. Pha Ngan Island comprises of two main islands: Pha Ngan and Tao. Most area of the metioned islands are mountains. Only one-forth is a beach. Sand dune and coral reef are located around the island.

History and nature of Pha Ngan Island has been protected by Chakkri Dynasty’s royal support. King Rama V, King Rama VI, King Rama VII, King Rama IX visited Tan Sadet Water Fall and inscribed their initials there. King Rama V had visited the water fall five times.

Apart from the beautiful beach and deep blue sea water, Pha Ngan Island offers tourists natural attractions i.e. water falls, mountains, local coconut farms and fishery at Chokechalam Village. Wonderful scenery is waiting for you since you are on board at the island. Pha Ngan Island is not far away from Samui Island where is one of the Thailand’s leading tourist attraction. In addition, taking a ferry to Tao Island to sightsee coral reef and aquatic animals is convenient.

Everything that a tourist wants is on Pha Ngan Island, so both domestic and international tourists should not miss it.

There are several tourist attractions on Pha Ngan Island i.e. forests, water falls, beaches, sea, temples, cultural and adventurous ones like Tan Sadet National Water Fall, Rin Nok Beach, Tong Nai Pan Yai Beach, Tong Nai Pan Noi Beach, and etc.
