Darr provides the strategic planning, direction and administration of the human resources function for the Asia-Pacific region including staffing and recruitment, human resources administration, recognition and motivation, benefits, compensation and payroll, and implement global HR initiatives, programs and policies in partnership with the company’s corporate offices.
He was most recently human resources consultant for Artyzen Hospitality in Hong Kong and previously worked with Shangri-La Hotels, first as director of resourcing and organizational development and then as vice president of human resources.
Prior to Shangri-La, Darr held roles with Genworth Financial as an HR manager for Southern Europe and also London. He originally came to Europe while working with Intercontinental Hotels (IHG), where he began his career in hospitality HR. Darr worked for IHG for almost nine years and held various roles located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and London serving as employee relations specialist, HR business partner for North America and director of HR for UK/Europe, respectively.
Darr holds a Master of Science degree in human resources from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University.
