Receiving the FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification), which is given to five supermarkets and one Fresh Distribution Center (FDC), with plans to get certification for 15 more branches in 2019.

“We are the first in Southeast Asia to receive the FSSC 22000 certification for Retail & Wholesale for our five supermarkets, namely Central Food Hall Bangna, Tops Market Chaengwattana and Ladprao, Tops Superstore Westgate, Tops Daily Thammasat Rangsit, and Fresh Distribution Center in Samutsakhon. This assures our consumers of our quality and freshness, with a traceability system and clear nutrition labels. We are planning to improve 15 other branches to meet the FSSC 22000 standards in 2019.”

Alistair was presented with the certificate by Mr. Vinta Srinivas Reddy, Chief Operating Officer of TÜV NORD South East Asia, who represented TÜV NORD, an organization in charge of this certification in Southeast Asia, and a representative in Thailand Mr. Pitak Supanantakarn, Managing Director of TÜV NORD (Thailand) Limited, together with Central Food Retail executives namely Executive Vice President Ms. Phattaraporn Phenpraphat, Executive Vice President Ms. Maytinee Phisutsinthop, Executive Vice President Mrs. Sujita Phengoun, and Vice President Mrs. Charoensri Osathanukuor, at Tops Market, Central Plaza Chaegnwattana.
