Ang Thong

It is located on the central region not far from Bangkok and can be a one day trip. There are many tourist destinations mostly the main places about history, religion, culture, lifestyle and local knowledge. It is considered a province that remains Thai lifestyle for people to see.

Angthong province is divided into seven districts (amphoe). They are Mueang Ang Thong, Chaiyo, Pa Mok, Pho Thong, Sawaeng Ha, Wiset Chai Chan and Samko.

At present Ang Thong is full of local handicrafts including court doll, drum making, pottery brick and basketwork manufacturing. There are about 200 interesting temples that are beautiful and important in terms of history. Recently, local people have grown flowers like marigold and sunflower in big and wide fields and they become a new destination for a lot of tourists who show interest and come to visit the place.
