Bangkok’s Hidden Gem – Review Haoma, Neo Indian Cuisine, A Must To Eat Restaurant List

Haoma a Neo Indian restaurant which is a new form of Indian identity,  located on Sukhumvit 31.

Where is a unique, a must go restaurant in Bangkok? My clients ask me daily. The name of Haoma is popping up in my head as I been there once last year and I really impressed with their restaurant concept. I eat well and felt great after I ate there.

Haoma, a gastronomic journey through Thailand with incredible flavors influenced by Indian Roots.

Surrounded by arrays of herbs and leafy greens thriving in a greenhouse where daylight shines brightly from all sides.

Here is a short video from our experience…check it out!

The menu creates an experienced landscape that stimulates not only the senses of sight, taste, smell and texture but also piques curiosity and nostalgia…something you can experience by self and hard to explain.

Tomato Mist – Haoma farm tomato, Whey, Haoma leaf, Blueberry, Cucumber Ice

Haoma is using a firm anti-pesticide, no antibiotics policy and seasonal, home-grown ingredients supplemented by fresh produce sourced from farmers, breeders and fishermen in the vicinity of Bangkok getting the best local organic Thai ingredients most of it grown at own partner farms and monitored personally by chefs.

Chef Deepanker focused on locally sourced quintessential ingredients, with an emphasis on simplicity, purity, and seasonal flavors.

The Disappearing Duck – Curry Mousse, Poultry Wing, Sticky Rice, Haoma Greens

A native of India, he honed his craft in the kitchens of the finest luxury hotels in Asia before turning into an entrepreneur at 25. Haoma hopes to turn 100% carbon negative.

They currently serve 9 courses and 13 courses. A La Carte is also available. Tasting menu contains raw seafood and other allergies can be swapped with plant forward menu dishes.

Overall, I and my guest really enjoyed the time here, from arrival till departure. The kitchen team impressed us with creative dishes, full flavours, great story behind the dishes. We had learned so much about food sources where chefs selected to use in their menu. We felt great that we were able to support those farmers who work so hard to ensure we (customers) eat the best produces on plates. We will come back here with our friends again soon!
