Renowned for his inspiring creativity, French-born culinary master YBL has elevated the art of plating to dizzying heights. YBL began his career in Michelin-starred restaurants and legendary luxury hotels, including Residenz Heinz Winklerin, Germany, and Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, France. Currently the Executive Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, YBL has travelled to exotic locales across the globe to share his unique culinary creations and conduct masterclasses in plating.
The Sanya EDITION will welcome internationally acclaimed Chef Yann Bernard Lejard (YBL) for Culinary is Art, an exclusive 2-night showcase of artistic gastronomy from 16-17 June. The Jade Egret, the hotel’s refined contemporary European dining room, will set the stage for Chef Yann’s sensational creations.
Gourmands will be able to savour YBL’s conceptual cuisine at The Jade Egret with an exclusive six-course tasting menu between 16 and 17 June. Showcasing seasonal ingredients, he uses the plate as a blank canvas, juxtaposing vibrant hues with theatrical brushstrokes and painterly details. A feast for the senses, he conceptualises and creates arresting visual compositions.
