“English High Tea” Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok


From 1 May through 31 July 2018, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok’s Lobby Lounge offers a quintessentially English ritual of high tea surrounded by picturesque views of the Chao Phraya River at Bt1,198 ++ per set for up to two persons, including coffee or tea.

Guests can spend their afternoon with friends and loved ones, and enjoy a selection of freshly baked homemade pastries and savouries served in an impressive three-tier giant golden birdcage.

Highlights of the dishes on three dedicated plates include Kent Ham Dijon Mustard Black Bread, Coronation Chicken on Multigrain Flab, Roast Beef and Remoulade on White Bread Sole, Seared Tuna on White Bread, Scottish Smoked Salmon Cucumber on Whole Wheat and traditional English Raisin and Plain Scones with fresh Cornish Clotted Cream and Orange Preserve and other sweet decadent delicacies created by Executive Pastry Chef Claus Olsen, alongside a freshly-brewed coffee or a pot of tea.
