Bangkok’s New Rooftop Bar Review: Hyatt Regency – Spectrum Lounge & Bar
On top of the young-but-matured Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Spectrum is the new urban hangout with mesmerising sunset and night-time city view. Even though there are already plenty “rooftop” bars, Spectrum feels a lot different. The atmosphere is completely light-hearted yet classy, not to mention delightful sips and bites available up here.

The Drinks
Created by different in-house mixologists, each signature cocktail is very unique in character.
There might be oodles of coffee-forward cocktails out there, but Misty Nu (THB 320) is a concoction like nowhere else. Rich in coffee scent with subtle chocolatey whiff, along with Evan Williams bourbon, Carpano Rosso vermouth, and Kahlua, sipping this drink is such excellent evening indulgence.
For a Thai sensation, Mad Mango (THB 280) is another unique glass, somewhat resembling Tom Yum, but in a milder way. Using chilli-infused Ketel One vodka, lime, and chilli salt, the spiciness is palpable, but thanks to mango puree, the ingredients charmingly blend into one another and makes a zippy cocktail.
Eddy Murphy (THB 290) is the “wow” of the night, with surprisingly soft, foamy cap made of egg white. With Malibu, Midori, pineapple juice, and lime juice, it is obviously a glass with tropical senses. Ideal one to unwind with!
Hole in One (THB 330) is the easiest one to drink, with sweet and sour tastes, and gentle botanicals from Tanqueray gin. If you are looking for a drink to start the evening before the meal, this one is the recommended pick.
The Dishes
Light bites and snacks are served here, and they are too delicious to overlook.
Classic bar bites like Caramelized Chicken Wings (THB 290) at Spectrum is so crispy and remains tasty even after a long hour.
BBQ Wagyu Beef Finger Ribs (THB 850) is completely juicy, and its gentle
Crispy Soft Shell Crab (THB 410), like another fried dishes here, keeps on being crispy for a long while, and itget along so smoothly with tamarind sauce and taro fritter.
For seafood aficionados, Lobster Roll (THB 790) is filled with chunks of sweet and bouncy lobster mixing with the dressing that helps bring out the best of its taste.
Please also note that dressing up “smart casual” is appropriate here.
