Jamie’s Italian, Rustic Italian Restaurant By Jamie Oliver: New Menu Review 2018
Jamie’s Italianis all about beautifully sourced ingredients and simply cooked Italian comfort food. The restaurant was founded by Jamie Oliverand his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo. The restaurant is perfect place for catch up with friends for lunch or dinner, casual food sharing, as well as comforting bowls of pasta, beautiful fresh salads and grills.
The Dishes– All servings are generous and colorful. Fresh items like Italian Burrata cheeses, truffle oils, greens, mushrooms are cooked to perfection just enough to reveal the right flavors and balance the elements of the dishes. We loved the freshness of the greens in many dishes, healthy topped seeds, and flavor rich mushroom sauces, truffle scents served with salads and beef cuts. By the glass italian wines are available to perfectly match the many rolls and anti pasti starters if you are looking for a shared meal. The sets offer an amazing value for money with some great signature dishes.
The dinner set menufollows the same Italian principle of sharing a meal and starts off with Jamie’s Italian signature Antipasti Plank, filled with a selection of cold cuts and cheeses such as fennel salami, mortadella, prosciutto and wagyu bresaola, as well as mini mozzarella and aged pecorino, all served with chilli jam, pickles, olives and rainbow slaw. Jamie’s Italian Famous Prawn Linguine with garlicky prawns, tomatoes, fennel, saffron, chilli and fresh rocket.
Many of the dishes on the menu are inspired by Jamie’s visits to Italy and the stories of Gennaro’s upbringing on the Amalfi coast. Gennaro’s stories have added substance to what is now the essence of Jamie’s Italian – tradition combined with current, innovative ideas and a Jamie twist!
