KIERAN TWOMEY, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – JING AN SHANGRI-LA WEST, SHANGHAI

An Irish national, Mr Twomey brings extensive management experience in various aspects of hotel operations, especially in food and beverage and sales and marketing, and is no stranger to Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group. He has many years of experience in hospitality industry in Asia and Europe, and twenty years with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

Mr Twomey joined the Shangri-La family in 1992 at Golden Sands Resort, Penang before moving through the ranks to senior management positions in numerous Shangri-La Hotels, including Edsa Shangri-La, Manila; Makati Shangri-La, Manila; Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei; Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing; Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing (previously known as Shangri-La Hotel, Dingshan); Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta; Shangri-La Hotel, Macau; and Traders Hotel, Macau, where he was the area manager and general manager, Shangri-La Hotel, Chengdu for three years, hangri-La Hotel, Bangkok and recently Vice President And General Manager of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts
