Koh Lanta is an island and a district in Krabi province comprising of Koh Lanta Yai and Koh Lanta Noi with an island in the middle of the two islands. Koh Lanta Noi is a place where the District Office of Lanta is located while most tourist attractions, accommodations, diving shops, banks, Internet cafes, rental motorcycles and souvenir shops are gathered in Koh Lanta Yai. The national park office is also located in Koh Lanta Yai where visitors can walk through a nature trail of the green rain forests. The white lighthouse is the outstanding building like a signature of Koh Lanta.
There are many interesting places to explore such as Aow Nui, Tanod Cape Viewpoint, Hat Kor Kwang, Hat Khlong Dawn, Hat Phra Ae, Tanod Cape, Baan Sriraya, Sea Gypsy House (Baan Sangka U)
Because of being remote from the mainland, Koh Lanta still keeps its beauty and richness of beaches, clear water, and amazing underwater world. The beautiful diving points where you can see colorful coral reefs and fish are Hin Muang-Hin Daeang, Koh Rok, Koh Ha Yai. Moreover, visitors can have a diving trip to four islands of Trang province that are Koh Ngai, Koh Chaek, Koh Kradan and Koh Muk.
