After a busy week, we all feel like taking a break but get often too lazy to drive a few hours upcountry. We have come across a great weekend package in Bangkok..with all perfect ingredients: a tranquil environment, fun place for the kids, lush green surroundings and nice dining experiences. We have not hesitated a second to explore the superb offers and weekend escape package of the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa …a suite and a brunch…all we needed to relax for two days, just a few miles away from our home.
Story by Mr. & Mrs. Tardivel
Located in 11 acres of tranquility set in the midst of lush greenery, Anantara Bangkok Riverside is the only true resort escape in the luxury of timeless elegance and endless perfection in Bangkok. The resort recently just renovated their guest rooms with a serene tropical resort’s concept by the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
Being Anantara fans for long time, we always look forward to their comfortable bedding, soft plush pillows, luxury bath amenities and all latest high tech updates…wi-fi of course (since we can’t completely disconnect from reality) but also the free international calls or hotel apps from the smart phone provided in your suite.
we love bedding here with lots of comfy pillows set up in room. Kids love their bath time, and myself love a big rain shower room.
a great display and gathering of local artisans and other shop owners who offered with a great motivation lots of information on their home made products
On Sunday, no need to wake up early….enjoy the comfortable room, grab a coffee (breakfast is great but you won’t be having to rush…the best time of the day is coming…) Part of the great weekend package, the bespoke brunch at Trader vic’s is a real treat.
Trader Vic’s at Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa presents the artisan Mai Tai collections crafted by mixologist, Ron Ramirez.
A journey of endless Mai Tai cocktails begins with the first stop at ‘Mai Tai Fountain’ welcoming friends and families to be the trendsetter. For a fun activity, Trader Vic’s invites the keen Mai Tai fans to learn making the 1944’s recipe of classic Mai Tai from Ron Ramirez and earn a certificate.
The grand buffet dishes up the most popular and refined creations from Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Italian cuisine.
Mai Tai Sunday Brunch at Trader Vic’s has with no doubt become one of Bangkok’s best brunches on the river.
Seafood lovers are regaled by a fresh selection of coveted oysters, crabs and shrimps.
Live cooking stations deliver made to order individual choices.
The feast concludes with a parade of desserts that range from pure decadence to traditional treats, culminating in a mouthwatering banquet from start to finish.
I love the Cheese room
Little ones can play at the kid’s corner right between Trader Vic’s and Benihana under the supervision of friendly dedicated staff, leaving parents free to indulge and explore.
