Review International Lunch at Ventisi, Centara Grand at CentralWorld Bangkok


We recently visited the restaurant on a Saturday — a day we usually reserve for a mix of dining, leisure, and shopping. We enjoy taking the kids to explore new places and have a relaxed lunch, and this spot turned out to be a perfect choice.

Ventisi is located on the 24th floor of the hotel and offers a daily buffet lunch. Highlights include fresh seafood on ice and Picanha Wagyu beef. For pasta lovers, Saturdays feature a variety of options such as Tagliatelle with sausage and black truffle, Tortellini with Parma ham and peas, and Spaghetti alle vongole.

For Thai cuisine lovers, there’s a wide variety of flavorful options to choose from — including spicy salads, regional Thai specialties, red curry, and spicy curry with pineapple and shrimp. Other highlights include stir-fried baegu leaves with eggs, stir-fried pork with chili paste, stir-fried salmon with holy basil and chili, Pad Thai, and a live Som Tum (papaya salad) cooking station.

Meat and seafood lovers will enjoy the dedicated section featuring Wagyu picanha, duck confit with orange sauce, barramundi with beurre blanc sauce, teriyaki salmon, whole roasted salmon, sausages, lamb koftas, and braised beef cheeks served with sautéed zucchini, mashed potatoes, and ratatouille.

There’s also a selection of pizza, Indian cuisine such as naan, Indian rice, aloo gobi, Manchurian chicken, and papadum. To round it out, guests can enjoy cheese and cold cuts, sushi, and freshly sliced sashimi.

For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert selection is truly impressive. Indulge in a chocolate fountain and a wide array of treats including peach tart, Nonna tart, Italian trifle, strawberry choux, tiramisu, chocolate panna cotta, ricotta and chocolate tart, raspberry tart, pâte de fruits, gianduja chocolate almonds, and chocolate macarons.

There’s also a delightful mix of international and Thai-inspired desserts such as mixed berry crumble, coconut milk pudding, sweet potatoes in coconut milk, water chestnut in coconut milk, and an assortment of traditional Thai sweets. Other highlights include soft mung bean dessert, chocolate salted caramel lollipops, Baci di Dama, hazelnut cookies, and pistachio chocolate biscotti.
