Chefs Pongcharn ‘Top’ Russell and Pastry Chef Michelle Goh have opted to present their menu Thai designed for sharing, the local way to dine at Mia.
Mia is a vibrant new restaurant created by two Bangkok based Chefs Pongcharn ‘Top’ Russell and Pastry Chef Michelle Goh formerly of Freebird and Sühring currently ranked 45 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
They are working in collaboration with French Chef Julian Imbert previously Head Chef at Jason Atherton’s City Society in London, who change to be a restauranteur with the opening of this restaurant. The team is completed by General Manager, French-Cambodian Arthur Loustau who was previously Operations Manager at Scarlett at Pullman G Bangkok
Together with their talents successfully combine the best of London’s dynamic dining scene and Bangkok’s fun-loving nightlife to present a playful and informal dining experience of modern European flavours with an Asian edge presented Thai style in a menu designed for sharing. The dishes are ingredient-driven emphasising accessibility and bold flavours.
The menu is divided into snacks, hot and cold appetisers, mains larger plates, sides and desserts.
Their high lights include Foie Gras Donut, a decadent spiced sugar-dusted donut filled with s generous slab of foie gras. As well as Uni Tart, a crispy shortcrust pastry shell filled with squid-ink custard, topped with sea urchin. For a lighter alternative, there is Scallop Carpaccio served with mango ice cream and shiso or Pissaladiere with anchovies, olives and onion jam.
From the Mains and Larger Plates section of the menu, the must-try dishes include Hot Smoked Salmon with ikura salsa and potato veloute.
