Review: Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse, Bangkok


When you think about “the best steakhouse in Bangkok” which name pops up in your head?

Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse or in short name RR & B recognized by steak lovers as one of the best steakhouses in town. It is unquestionably a culinary landmark for the superlative quality of its restaurants.

The bar: Upon arrival at the top floor, Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse’s fabulous and highly individual Bar offers a warm and classy welcoming atmosphere with great seating and an exclusive feel.

With floor-to-ceiling counter, background music, the Bar is destined to become one of the relaxed places in town. If you are a wine lover, check out their wine cellar.

The Restaurant: Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse sets in the Ferrari-red color theme, an epicurean experience as the restaurant has a choice of sophisticated seatings, with dark wooden tables featuring a distinctive copper metal centre-piece, designer leather place mats and hand-crafted tableware created to enhance ambience and comfort. Each table is illuminated only by its own lighting, allowing exhilarating views of the city.

The foods: Specializes unashamedly in steakhouse favourites led by Executive Chef Philippe Gaudal who been recognized as Top chefs in Bangkok who ensures your dishes well cooked to meet your expectations and redefined the meaning of dining well with good friends, business partners or family members.

We recommended you to book a table close enough to the open kitchen to see chefs in action cooking and plating all sorts of dishes, most of them with world-class roast ovens as well as one wood-burning ovens. It was great fun!

Ask the team for advice and they’ll point out all possible meat preparations and accompaniments to your liking…lots of great choices on the menu so we let Chef Philippe prepare some his amazing refined dishes.

Steak Diane prepared at your table, beef tenderloin with brandy and mushroom sauce

Pan seared on the skin salmon trout served with cauliflower couscous & puree, belota chorizo, tomato & preserve lemon relish

Surf & Turf Lobster Tail Black Oynx Tenderloin &Lobster tails from Australia served with beef jus and crustacean oil.

Matsusaka Beef A5 SIRLOIN 200g – All grilled items come with selected sauce from Peppercorn sauce,  Béarnaise sauce, Stilton blue cheese.

Side dishes from Smooth mash potato gratin Dauphinois Home-made wedges, mushroom cream sauce red wine & shallot sauce Albufera sauce, baby mixed salad, big broccoli heads creamed spinach aautéed spinach
black truffle mash potato, sautéed mushrooms and more!

Snow fish fillet served with white miso paste, pistachio, pea puree and seaweed hash

Overall experience: Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse offers an exciting a-la carte menu with classics, a strong French touch, stunning food presentations, tasty sauces, perfect cookings and impressive with tastes. Overall service is exceptional. A “must do” if you are looking for a fine dining experience with premium wines and steaks.

Getting There: Adjacent to Nana Skytrain Stain. It’s stunningly located on the 31st floor of the Landmark Hotel Bangkok, with breathtaking views of the Bangkok skyline.
