Sri Trat at Sri’s Room Review | Bangkok Thai Restaurant Guide 2026

Eastern Thai cuisine is celebrated for its vibrant flavours, exceptional fresh seafood, and the generous use of locally sourced herbs and ingredients. At Sri Trat at Sri’s Room, these regional traditions are elevated into a memorable dining experience, where an elegant setting, thoughtfully curated cuisine, warm hospitality, and remarkable value come together seamlessly.

At Sri Trat at Sri’s Room, the beloved character of Sri Trat is reimagined during her Bangkok chapter—a stylish young woman in her twenties who runs a bespoke tailoring atelier by day and welcomes friends and loyal customers with home-style Eastern Thai cooking by night. This charming narrative comes to life through thoughtfully designed interiors, where vintage Bangkok townhouse influences, delicate floral details, tailoring-inspired accents, and a live DJ create an intimate, nostalgic atmosphere inspired by her imagined life in the capital.

Located on the ground floor of Siam Paragon, Sri Trat at Sri’s Room presents a beautifully curated setting inspired by Sri Trat‘s fictional tailoring boutique. The interiors blend vintage textiles, elegant Sino-Portuguese architectural influences, and romantic floral elements, seamlessly weaving together memory, heritage, and imagination into a distinctive dining destination.

The extensive à la carte menu celebrates the vibrant flavours of Eastern Thailand that shaped Sri Trat‘s culinary heritage. Alongside signature favourites from the original Sri Trat are exclusive creations available only at Sri Trat at Sri’s Room.

As locals, we appreciate bold Thai flavours but also believe balance is essential. Rather than overwhelming the palate, we prefer to savour the complexity of each dish. With this in mind, we selected a combination of signature specialities that showcased the restaurant’s culinary strengths while offering a well-balanced dining experience.

The restaurant also caters to a wide range of preferences, from spice enthusiasts and vegetarians to guests seeking personalised dishes. One particularly thoughtful feature is the clearly indicated spice scale, allowing diners to select their preferred level of heat, from a gentle hint of chilli to an authentic fiery kick.

Our recommended dinner journey began with a delightful selection of traditional Thai appetisers and salads, each beautifully showcasing the freshness of Eastern Thailand’s local ingredients.

Highlights included a Thai-style salad of crisp unripened mangosteen with fragrant herbs, delicately tossed in a rich churned palm sugar dressing, alongside classic betel leaf wraps served with aromatic herbal condiments and succulent shrimp finished with a light, sweet clear sauce.

For solo diners, we highly recommend one of signatures spicy rice topped with generous lump crab meat, served with Sri Trat’s distinctive sauce and an assortment of fresh herbs, including fragrant lemongrass, fresh garlic, and other traditional aromatics.

I asked the team to serve less spicy & the sauce on the side so I could adjust the seasoning to suit my husband’s palate, as he cannot handle very spicy food.

Among the main courses, the comforting Kang Liang Ka Ti Goong stood out with its savoury coconut-based broth generously filled with fresh seasonal vegetables and succulent prawns, offering flavours that were both nourishing and satisfying.

Equally memorable were the perfectly crisp deep-fried Asian sea bass fillets topped with fragrant garlic and pepper, alongside expertly grilled Pacanya beef served with a beautifully seasoned fish sauce that enhanced the meat’s natural richness.

Dessert provided a fitting finale to the meal. Thick slices of toasted bread were served with creamy sea salt coconut milk ice cream and an assortment of traditional toppings, including sweet milky sticky rice and other delightful accompaniments.

The experience concluded with slow-cooked sago pearls in fragrant brown sugar syrup, complemented by young coconut and rich coconut milk—a timeless Thai dessert that was both comforting and indulgent.

Complementing the cuisine is a creative cocktail programme inspired by the iconic music of the 1970s and 1980s, adding another layer of nostalgia to the dining experience. For guests seeking greater privacy, the intimate mezzanine dining room offers an elegant retreat surrounded by Sri Trat’s treasured personal mementos. Styled with vintage wardrobes, sewing tables, and carefully curated decorative pieces, the space beautifully reflects her world and completes the restaurant’s immersive storytelling.

Overall, Sri Trat at Sri’s Room successfully brings together authentic Eastern Thai flavours, imaginative design, and heartfelt hospitality in one refined destination. Whether visiting for a leisurely lunch, an intimate dinner, or a special occasion, it offers one of Bangkok’s most distinctive interpretations of Thailand’s rich eastern culinary heritage.
