Bangkok’s New Eastern Thai Restaurant: Step Into Sri’s Room at Siam Paragon — A Chic Retro Journey Back To The Classic 1970s
This new restaurant, part of The Sri Trat Group—best known for the renowned Sri Trat on Sukhumvit 33 and Burapa by Sri Trat on Sukhumvit 11—marks the group’s third concept.

Sri’s Room continues the brand’s signature storytelling through food, nostalgia, and design. I must admit, the space is incredibly photogenic and truly eye-catching.

The dishes here are inspired by the years when the owner’s mother was 27, living her best life in Bangkok. Whenever friends dropped by, they would bring fresh ingredients from the local market, and she would effortlessly whip up something delicious.

They cooked, ate, laughed, and spent their evenings together with good music playing in the background. That warm, nostalgic spirit is exactly what you’ll taste in every plate at Sri’s Room.

A little note for visitors to Thailand: even though this restaurant is located inside a mall, don’t underestimate it—the flavors are truly local and authentically bold. If you’re sensitive to heat, food restrictions, or strong spices, make sure to let the team know how much spice you can handle. They’ll happily recommend dishes that suit you.

Whenever I dine at a Thai restaurant, I love pairing the food with Thai wine or a local Thai beverage. On this visit, we enjoyed wines from Khao Yai—recognized under the country’s Geographical Indication (GI) for their unique terroir. These beautifully crafted local vintages showed just how refined Thai wine can be, making them the perfect match for Sri’s Room’s celebration of Thai flavors and heritage.

The team here is incredibly friendly and their hospitality makes you feel right at home. Don’t hesitate to ask about the story behind each dish—it really adds a special touch to the whole experience. Even as a local, there were ingredients from the Eastern region that I had never tried before. That’s the beauty of Thai cuisine: it feeds both the body and the soul.

I won’t spoil too much about each dish—half the fun is discovering them for yourself.
