World’s leading chefs will be gathering in the Bangkok at annual event “World Gourmet Bangkok”, hosted by Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. This year, the full line up of chefs are from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 by San Pellegrino including several Michelin stars.
Six prestigious champagne houses will take over half of the Lobby Lounge. A first of its kind in the city, Billecart-Salmon, Laurent Perrier, Taittinger, Montaudon, Moët & Chandon and Philipponnat congregate in one place to offer guests a Champagne Journey.
Guests nightly will experience exclusive set dinners in Spice Market, Madison or Biscotti restaurants. Before and after from 11 am to 11 pm guests can visit the Lobby Lounge and take part in the journey through either a silver or gold package.

Each guest chef will host two evenings in one of the hotel’s award-winning restaurants. This year’s World Gourmet Festival will see the introduction of an exclusive Sake tasting and pairing with Western dishes event with the sake master from Kirinzan Sake.
Additional events to be added this year include Lampe Berger, a new concept combining classic fragrance matching with excellent wines and unique dishes, a Cocktail Master Class, Gin Master Class and Blue Friday with Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
The famous World Gourmet Brunch – one of the most popular events of the festival – will take place on the last day of the event on Sunday, 25 September.
Last chance to sample their creations, offers more availability than the exclusive dinner events. The inimitable Chef Bobby Chinn, renowned TV personality from Hanoi, will entertain diners at this event.
Proceeds from the auction held throughout the week plus THB 600 per dinner ticket sold will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society, to support HRH Princess Soamsawali’s ‘Save A Child’s Life from AIDS Project’ under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society, which provides medicine for pregnant mothers who are afflicted with AIDS.
A passport is provided to guests on the Champagne Journey, whereby collecting stamps for each house sampled. Those looking to dabble in bubbles can buy the silver package. Included are three glasses which can be taken at any time the Journey is open, and give the guest the option to choose their preferred trio from the Journey’s selection. Discerning wine aficionados can take the Gold package, which includes one glass from all six houses, a Flammkuchen (German flatbred) and take-away Teuscher chocolates. Again, freedom reigns and guests can imbibe at their leisure throughout the Festival. Those ready to continue the celebration will enjoy heavily discounted prices on additional glasses, bottles and magnums.
