The family owned company Ronnefeldt from Frankfurt, Germany looks back to seven generations with roots in China being set at the beginning of the 20th century. 1823 Tea Lounge by Ronnefeldt concept showcases a wide range of loose-leaf teas for discerning tasting pleasure and for retail, packaged in specially designed tins. Two blends have been created exclusively by Ronnefeldt for the Lounge: ‘The Bangkok Blend’ and ‘The Gaysorn Blend’.

The Bangkok Blend – A blend of fine Oolong Tea with natural pineapple and papaya flavours. Flowery, Chinese Oolong Tea has been blended especially with tropical flavours of papaya and pineapple resulting in a sensational combination of flavours. The Gaysorn Blend – Ripe mango and hints of citric notes combine beautifully with light flowery Pai Mu Tan White Tea from Fujian, China. The Gaysorn Blend is a fine and elegant tea with subtle flowery flavours and smooth tannins.

A variety of other Ronnefeldt teas available include the international green tea bestseller Morgentau and collections such as Teastar, Tea Couture, and White Collection (available in it’s entrety for the first time in Thailand at the Tea Lounge). Kabocha Salad – Roasted Japanese pumpkin, beet root and carrot puree, fresh ricotta cheese and rocket leaves with lemon oil dressing.

Crab and Avocado – Blue swimmer crab meat in apple capsicum dressing , served in an organic half avocado, with coriander mayonnaise and fresh apple topped with Avruga caviar

Seared Scallop – Three seared scallops on truffled cauliflower mousse, with shallot, caper vinaigrette and a sprinkle of whole leaf Kabusencha tea

Filet De Boeuf – Ranger’s valley pure Black Angus beef tenderloin, topped with mushroom gratin, served with mashed potato and red wine sauce

Duck Breast – Pan roasted duck breast, roasted sweet purple & orange potatoes, with orange – lavender red wine sauce

Wild caught Sea bass – Seared Sea bass in roasted onion soubise with a fennel, sweet corn & quinoa salad

Seared Lamb Cutlet – Cutlet of pasture-fed Australian lamb with fresh mint, pea puree , romesco sauce and red wine reduction
