Water Library Chamchuri Celebrates 10 Years – MICHELIN Guide Restaurant in Bangkok

One of the top pioneers in Bangkok’s fine dining scene and until today this flagship restaurant is recognized as being one of the best restaurants in Bangkok.

Ironically this fine dining restaurant was originally intended just to be a water bar. That changed when Pote Lee the founder of Water Library tasted the culinary creations of Singaporean celebrity chef Haikal Johari at the former Ember Restaurant; Lee offered him the position of the Executive Chef to found the Water Library dynasty.

Listed in Bangkok’s MICHELIN guide 2019,  the restaurant serves European cuisine and focuses on fresh seasonal produce.

Haikal is Executive Chef of Water Library Hospitality Group and Alma by Juan Amador Singapore. He has developed a lifetime passion for cooking and hold a Michelin star awarded for 3 years.

Haikal is work closely with talented but very humbled Chef, Tle Phuvadej Chef de cuisine at Water Library Chamchuri who is passionate to create fine food to be perfected match with wines.
